I enjoy the literary license I have in writing articles for my blog. Most articles relate to general aviation news, safety and advocacy. On rare occasions like today, I go off topic when I see something that amuses me.
Today's posting is about a fun video that PilotMall.com just released that includes some nice shots of AirVenture 2009. In the middle of it, they made the questionable decision to include me. It was shot in the waning hours of Airventure 2009 and yes we did have fun shooting it. It’s short and takes only 85 seconds to view. My friends at Wilco Films who are producing A Pilot’s Story, a documentary film slated for a 2010 release, shot it. My friend Rob Mark who runs www.jetwhine.com will be thrilled to see that I happened to be wearing a jetwhine button when the video was shot.
PilotMall.com is one of the distributors of my products and they set up a place for Rod Machado and me to do book signings during Airventure 2009. They’re really nice people and I recommend them to anyone looking to buy aviation supplies. Hope you enjoy their video!
Nice video. How does it feel to have a real, tangible book out? It must be very exciting.

Haha, "oh wait, I thought I was the guy who wrote the book..." Glad to see you've got products at PilotMall, they're a good outfit and their aviation forums are top-notch.

I have to admit, I laughed. That's a great cameo. I love the view of Oshkosh, I'd love to go one year!
