If you're in Northern California, don't miss ACCIDENTWISE 2018! Last year we held our third ACCIDENTWISE, an aviation safety event at Moffett Field, and we had 200 attendees, making it one of the largest safety events in the country! This year's event is this Thursday, April 26. Sorry, no fly-ins to Moffett Field, except for turbine powered aircraft that have obtained a PPR Permit in advance. You can fly in to Palo Alto and take Uber or a taxi.
ACCIDENTWISE 2018 -- Moffett Field
In 2014, the Aero Club of Northern California lost three members in separate GA accidents in the S.F. Bay Area. In 2015, we started ACCIDENT WISE, with a focus on aviation safety in the Bay Area. Please come join us on April 26 at 6 PM at Moffett Field for this year's event, so that you have time to visit exhibitor booths. Presentations start at 6:45 PM.
ACCIDENTWISE is more than just a safety seminar. Patterned on the Aero Club of New England's CRASH COURSE, it includes multiple presentations from top industry speakers, exhibits by local aviation vendors, door prizes, and a silent auction for a new Lightspeed headset. Best of all, it's FREE!
The Aero Club of Northern California produces this event with a lot of help from several key sponsors: AOPA Foundation, NASA ASRS, Lightspeed and Cirrus Aircraft. Without their help, we couldn't produce an event of this size and quality, and we thank them for their help!

No Pre-Registration is Required. The event will be held in the Ames Conference Center, Building 3, the building closest to Hangar One. The driver of each vehicle must show a valid U.S. driver license, or other proof of identity, at the Moffett Field main gate on Moffett Blvd to enter. Then drive straight ahead toward Hangar One. Building 3 will be the last building on your left before you reach Hangar One.
Parking
There are parking lots on all four sides of Building 3 where you can park. Be careful when driving into Moffett, as it is easy to get a speeding ticket! Also, note that all of the streets next to the Ames Conference Center are One Way! If you have difficulty walking, consider parking in Lot 3, which is between Building 3 and Hangar One.
The image below shows the location of the parking lots. Hangar One can be seen to the far right. After you pass through the Moffett Blvd Main Gate, you'll be arriving on S. Akron Road and exiting the event via N. Akron Road. There are four lots where you'll be directed to park. Also street parking is available on both N. and S. Akron Road.
Hope to See You THERE!
Sincerely,
Max Trescott
Past President, Aero Club of Northern California
